PU IAP organized a Seminar


Students of Institute of Applied Psychology BS-2 (Replica), organized a seminar entitled as "Understanding Transgender and intersex communities and the fight for their rights in Pakistan!".

The speakers of this informative seminar were Aliha Fatima, Saba Saeed, Hifza Rashid, Omaima Babar and Zunaira Akram. The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Mr.Rameez Ahmed Sheikh (Course Instructor). The main focus of the seminar was on the problems faced by transgender community and how it is considered as a Taboo to be a transgender in our society. Transgenders are deprived of basic rights like education, shelter and most importantly Identity. The members of the panel also shared factual information about the transgenders round the globe, along with the role an individual can play for the betterment of Transgenders. Mr. Rameez Ahmed ended the seminar by the deliverance of empathetic words for trans-community and a round of applause for the speakers of the seminar.
