Institute of Polymer and Textile Engineering, University of the Punjab (IPTE-PU) demonstrated its ongoing commitment to scientific advancement and collaboration with government organizations by actively participating in the exhibition titled “SUPs Negative Impacts, Obligations and Recycling Technologies.” This exhibition was organized by the Strategic Planning and Implementation Unit, Environment Protection and Climate Change Department, Punjab Green Development Program, Government of the Punjab, at Alhamra Art Council Lahore on November 28, 2024. During the event, IPTE students made outstanding presentations to distinguished dignitaries who visited IPTE-PU stall. Students effectively briefed the visitors about the R&D projects displayed, which were initiated by IPTE. These projects focused on cutting-edge recycling technologies and environmental protection solutions, particularly addressing the challenges posed by single-use plastics (SUPs) and Textiles as well. The students showcased their deep understanding of the topics, presenting solutions that could play a pivotal role in supporting a circular economy and advancing sustainability efforts. This event highlighted IPTE's continual dedication to fostering innovation and collaboration between research institutions and government bodies, reinforcing its role in the development of environmentally sustainable technologies.
