The Institute of Applied Psychology organized a half-day skill-based workshop on “CBT for Chronic Low Self-Esteem and Avoidant Personality Disorder” on 25th November 2025 at the Committee Room, IAP. ![]() The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ali Akbar Mansoor, Chartered Consultant Psychologist and CBT & EMDR Consultant (UK), who delivered an engaging and practice-oriented training session. His discussion highlighted the therapeutic application of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in addressing chronic low self-esteem and avoidant personality patterns, offering participants valuable clinical insights and intervention strategies. ![]() Director, Institute of Applied Psychology, Associate Professor Dr. Fatima Kamran, formally welcomed the distinguished guest and acknowledged his valuable contribution to the field. Prof. Dr. Irum Fatima, Associate Professor Dr. Afifa Anjum and Assistant Professor Dr. Omama Tariq also joined in extending their warm welcome, appreciation and engaged actively in the academic discourse throughout the session. ![]() The workshop was attended by students of MS Health Psychology, M.Phil, and PhD Applied Psychology, along with registered participants from various universities and professional clinical psychologists.
