LAHORE: (Tuesday, January 27, 2026): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali inaugurated a fitness center for security guards at PU. The inauguration ceremony was attended by DG Dr Rehan Sadiq Shaikh, Chairman Hall Council Prof Dr Muhammad Akbar Khan, DSA Dr Shahzeb Khan, Resident Officer-II Dr Abdul Majid Khan, Chief Security Officer Col (r) Tanveer Ashraf Bhatti and others. On the occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that physical and mental fitness is essential for carrying out daily official duties. He added that steps are being taken to further improve security at PU. Dr Rehan Sadiq stated that the purpose of establishing the fitness center at Punjab University is to keep security guards healthy and energetic. He said that under the leadership of VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, efforts are being made to provide a conducive environment for the university community.
